Philadelphia- If you missed FBH Philly Fashion Week, you definitely missed out! Kerry Scott and Kevin Parker know style and always put on an amazing week of events! The runway shows are always well put together and professional. In my opinion, FBH Philly Fashion Week is as close to NYFW that Philly will get. Pictures and event details below..
Friday nights runway show had the most touching moment when student designer Michael Thomas of Philadelphia showcased his collection. Nobody received a standing ovation until the designs known as Faithful were shown. And if you weren’t standing when he was done showing his timeless pieces, it was because you were so caught off guard by the handcrafted finery. Other lines showcased included: Single, Tyren Patrick, House of Ra'oof, Keiko Myrtice, Cha Cha N'kole, and Amaresinh.
And of course, the finale show that showcased designs from Walish Gooshe, Carmelita Couture, English Clientele, Vintage Tuxedo, Designs by Lara, Clarenz Couture Collection, LK Paris, and Celestino Couture to close the show. I love how the event producers save the best for last (not saying the other designers were not fabolous, because they were!). I can recall that the last time I attended FBH Philly Week they had designer and good friend of mine, Cory Couture close out the show. AMAZING. Overall, i'll give FBH Philly Fashion Week 5 stars! I cannot wait to see what they have in store next time.
Special thanks to v1 (Vision 1) Images for the amazing pictures! Also. special thanks to iSocialite photographer, Ajon Brodie for his work as well!
