We remember Singer/Percussionist McKinley "Bug" Williams, an original member of Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. Williams passed away September 2, 2011 due to a heart attack. He was with Frankie Beverly as the group went through several transitions, including their days as "Raw Soul" and the group's mentoring by the late Marvin Gaye. It was Gaye who suggested a final name change. Once becoming Maze and releasing their self-titled debut in 1977, the group made history.

I remember the scare after the last one and how he fought back! Hebwas such a staple to the Maze aura that it will never be the same without that warm smile! Ive had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times once in Atlanta and once in Pittsburgh and he was very engaging and patient! In fact I ended the conversation.LOL!
ReplyDeleteHe will be missed and we haven't lost him for we know where he is and GOD will take good care of him!
