Timbaland Speaks On Drake Releasing New Aaliyah Music

If you haven't heard, Drake is reportedly expected to executive produce the as-of-yet-untitled posthumous Aaliyah album. With the first single being released, Enough Said, Timbaland shared his thoughts on Drake working on a project for the late singer.
I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if he do it, it should be with me and Missy. The proper way for him to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record. But to put it on his record, would just not be right.
What do you guys think? Apparently Blackground (Aaliyah's label) reached out to Drake about doing the album and shaded Tim & Missy (that's what Twitter told me, don't shoot the messenger). I personally think Tim & Missy created the sound and musical style of Aaliyah that we all loved and remember. Only THEY can capture her essence and recreate what she would sound like if she was still alive today, which is what we all would love to hear. In my opinion, Drake is just a fan who has studied and listened to her music like the rest of us. He never met her, never talked to her, nothing. Timbaland & Missy have had in-studio sessions, in person conversations, writing sessions, etc with Aaliyah personally. They actually know her personally and know almost everything there is to know about her style and sound musically. Yes, Drake is a super-talented artist & writer, I just think he won't be able to capture the Aaliyah that we fell in love with like Tim & Missy can. Not saying he has to, he can create a completely new sound and it'll sound dope (especially with 40 producing), HOWEVER, since this is Aaliyah's first posthumous album, and I'm assuming it's being sold, it should be done right and how she would have wanted it.. which is most likely with Tim & Missy being apart of it. & Not even just them, everyone that helped shape her sound and musical legacy. My question is why did Blackground approach Drake first and not Tim & Missy? I'm just confused.
