EVENT RECAP: Top 5 Reasons You're Glad You Missed #Powerhouse 2013

This week, the iSocialte team had the privilege of going to Powerhouse 2013. This is a follow up to "Top 5 Reasons You Wish You Went to #Powerhouse 2013". Enjoy!

Top 5 Reasons Your Glad You Missed Powerhouse 2013:
5. Chris Brown
Though Brown’s performance kept some of the ladies in awe, most fans were left looking confused at his new, slightly skinny shape and basic dance moves (Brown did “the Bernie” in almost every dance routine). We expected more from CB.

4. Yo Gotti
Who is this guy? No but serious, Yo Gotti has a list of street anthems. But I’m sure we were all better off listening to them on the radio because there was no way to understand what he said.
3. Intermissions
For a show with this many performers, fans should expect intermissions for stage changes and personnel changes. But in a concert that was roughly 7 hours long, intermissions took up about 2 hours of that time. A thanks goes to DJ RL of Power99 for keeping good music playing though.
2. Rookie Mistakes
Power99 has done Powerhouse for over 30years. That is a great legacy for any concert series. But to see some of the issues the repeatedly took place throughout the show was terrible. First issues, microphones and sound with just about every artist (Seyvn had to perform ‘I Like It’ a capella due to sound issues). Then, the camera men helped keep the people in the higher levels of the arena out of the loop by getting shots of the artist on stage late. Everyone in these sections suffered.
1. Meek Mill vs. King Kendrick
After weeks of waiting, fans expected to see either Kendrick Lamar or Meek Mill take a jab on stage and make the show slightly more interesting. However, all the got (as I already expected) was a quote from Meek saying there was no beef, but he would show him there was only a “King Meek.” Thanks a lot guys. You really
had us going.
