I know why the caged bird sings...because Blackground FINALLY released her. That's right! Singer JoJo ended 2013 on a high note, signing with Atlantic Records, and is currently in the works of getting her much anticipated third album released. The many #FreeJoJo Twitter campaigns weren't for naught, fruition is upon us. JoJo fans everywhere are rejoicing, as are the musical GAWDS!
The 23 year old songstress has been battling her label, Blackground, for seven long years, and the end has finally come! Amidst complaints of failing to release her third album despite delivery and acceptance of recordings, and neglecting to pay producers and "other vendors" for collaborations they've done, the straw that broke the camel's back was her age. Ironic, yes? The suit, released by the LA Times, stated JoJo was a minor when entering into the contracts and thereby cannot be held liable for a period extending seven years. THERE IS A GOD! Just in time to save the music industry from the musical drought we've been experiencing. Hopefully, she shoots out the gates with the zest of a freshly de-shackled slave.
Blackground..."Leave (Get out)"! Atlantic..."Baby Its You"...so don't disappoint.
Reminisce with the SLAYAGE that is Joanna...
