Tyler The Creator To Have His Own Internet TV Channel

With moguls like Diddy creating there own network why take your talents to a established network?  According to The New York Times, the Odd Future captain Tyler The Creator is one of many celebrities in line to receive an Internet TV channel in association with Whalerock Industries.
Lloyd Braun is trying to lead a Hollywood revolution — one that keeps the content creators in charge of their own, well, content.
Braun, the former chairman of ABC’s TV stations who founded Santa Monica-based media company Whalerock Industries, is building a collection of personal media networks for big-time stars like Tyler, the Creator, the Kardashians and Howard Stern.
The idea is that these celebrities can publish their own work — whether videos, photos, games, or other kinds of premium content — and funnel more of the revenue into their own pockets, bypassing the traditional networks that have always taken a share.
The channels produced by Whalerock will be available in the coming months and will be accessible by Internet browsers or by mobile apps. While content can be free or carry a cost, fans will have access to exclusive interviews in video mode.
Christian Clancy, manager to Tyler The Creator, stated, “the problem for artists like Tyler is that once they get done paying all of these middlemen, they’re not left with much.” Clancy also disclosed that Tyler would “rather be a guinea pig” in the new situation.
